Family Planning Services

The Family Planning Program provides comprehensive reproductive health services to women of childbearing age and their partners. Services include physical exams, birth control counseling and supplies, abstinence skills training, immunizations, and screenings for cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV, and other sexually transmitted infections. The Family Planning Program also provides screening, counseling, and referral for risk factors affecting women's and men's health such as substance abuse, poor nutrition, cigarette smoking, and exposure to violence.

Pregnancy testing is available by walk-in or appointment at all ten county health departments.

In an effort to reduce the impact of cancer on the lives of Georgians, the Georgia Breast and Cervical Program (BCCP) strives to address Healthy People 2030   national objectives by providing access to timely breast and cervical cancer screenings and diagnostic services to eligible women. The Georgia BCCP provides services to women with limited annual income and health insurance (under-insured), as well as uninsured women between the ages of 40-64 for breast cancer and 21-64 for cervical cancer.
