The dental program also has a mobile dental trailer that visits elementary schools and provides dental sealants to prevent cavities.
The dental program provides dental screenings for Head Start centers, dental health education programs for schools, and fluoride mouth rinse for elementary schools. Infants and toddlers need to visit the dentist as soon as the first tooth erupts. The dental clinic on Academy Avenue provides a dental exam and fluoride varnish treatment beginning at the age of one year.
The dental program accepts all Medicaid (Wellcare, Peach State, Amerigroup, Peachcare) and offer services on a sliding fee scale for children without dental insurance.
